Mission San Jose Community
Bulletin for May 2003
Community Prayer Meetings: Our weekly prayer and praise meetings are every Sunday from 4 to 5:30pm at the Warm Springs Community Center. As always, these prayer meetings are open to anyone who would like to join us in praising GOD and learning more about MSJC. Check us out on the web at http://www.msjc.org
No Prayer Meetings on Mother's Day, May 11th: We encourage all to share this day with family and friends and praising God for all he has given us, especially our wonderful mothers.
Charismatic Convention: The Northern California Catholic Charismatic Convention is Friday, May 23rd - Sunday, May 25th at the Santa Clara Convention Center where it always is. Our group has volunteered to do the registration again this year so we need lots of volunteers for this work. Dan Franke is the contact person for this, please ask him about helping out. They have a children program for school age kids also. We won't be having a prayer meeting that Sunday, but we do encourage everyone to attend the Charismatic Mass that concludes the convention on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
No Pizza Night this month: Due to the Charismatic convention, we will not have our Pizza Night this month, the next pizza night will be Sunday, June 22nd.
Talk on Forgiveness: At our prayer meeting on Sunday, June 1st, there will be an audio tape talk on forgiveness by the Elijah House Ministry.
MSJC Ministry Schedule: Below is the Ministry Schedule for the following weeks:
|
Mark your Calendars: July 12-13 is the Family Life Conference in Anaheim, CA sponsored by St. Joseph's Communication. Saturday, August 9th is the annual MSJC summer picnic at Emma Prusch Farm in San Jose. We are looking for a coordinator(s) for the summer picnic; this is a person who will coordinate the work of everyone bringing something to make it a wonderful picnic. Ask the Batemans or Gary Herbst about this volunteer position.
Children's Ministry: MSJC offers our children a time to learn about the Lord under our Children's Ministry for Toddlers and School Age Children. For info on this ministry you can call Susan Kingsley. Thank you to those who have volunteered for this important ministry to our MSJC children. We use the Catholic Kids Net program for School Age children.
MSJC Council Meetings: The MSJC Council meets the first Monday of every month to discuss MSJC activities and other business items. Please contact one of the council members for more information on meetings or location.
Prayers/Prayer Line Info: Cathy Norman is our volunteer for the Prayer Line ministry. Please send her your prayer request by email. Anne Hashimoto is helping her this month, so you can send prayer requests to her also
Supporting MSJC: Mission San Jose Community has tax-exempt status with both the Federal and State governments. You can help support MSJC with your tax-deductible contributions which can be given to Chris or Susan Kingsley. A financial report is available to anyone who requests one from Chris Kingsley for review of the finances for MSJC.
