Mission San Jose Community
Bulletin for April 2003
Community Prayer Meetings: Our weekly prayer and praise meetings are every Sunday from 4 to 5:30pm at the Warm Springs Community Center. As always, these prayer meetings are open to anyone who would like to join us in praising GOD and learning more about MSJC. Check us out on the web at http://www.msjc.org
Spring Bible Study: A new bible study will be starting this month on Repentance and Forgiveness. It will be a similar format as the study on Eucharist we did last year. It will be a four-month study and will be done with the men's and women's share group. If you would like to join a study, please ask at the prayer meeting for the share group nearest you. There are two extra study books and we can get more if needed.
Pizza Nite: There will be a free pizza night on Sunday, April 27th after the prayer meeting. There will be a sign-up sheet for bringing ice, soda and salads at the prayer meeting on April 13th.
Community Meeting: Our next Community Meeting is on Saturday, April 12th at 6:30 pm in San Jose at the Bateman's house. All are welcome to attend. Please ask the Batemans for directions. We will be reviewing and approving the final draft of the statutes.
No Prayer Meetings on Easter or Mother's Day: There will be no Sunday prayer meetings on Easter Sunday, April 20th, or on Mother's Day, May 11th. We encourage all to share these blessed days with family and friends and praising God for all he has given us.
Charismatic Convention: The Northern California Catholic Charismatic Convention is Friday, May 23rd - Sunday, May 25th at the Santa Clara Convention Center where it always is. Our group has volunteered to do the registration again this year so we need lots of volunteers for this work. Dan Franke is the contact person for this, please ask him about helping out. They have a children program for school age kids also. We won't be having a prayer meeting that Sunday, but we do encourage everyone to attend the Charismatic mass that ends the convention on Sunday afternoon. More details to come.

Ask the Batemans or Gary Herbst about this volunteer position.
Children's Ministry: MSJC offers our children a time to learn about the Lord under our Children's Ministry for Toddlers and School Age Children. For info on this ministry you can call Susan Kingsley . Thank you to those who have volunteered for this important ministry to our MSJC children. We use the Catholic Kids Net program for School Age children.
MSJC Council Meetings: The MSJC Council meets the first Monday of every month to discuss MSJC activities and other business items. Please contact one of the council members for more information on meetings or location.
Prayers/Prayer Line Info: Cathy Norman is our volunteer for the Prayer Line ministry. Please send her your prayer request by email . Anne Hashimoto is helping her this month, so you can send prayer requests to her
